Level 1 Award in Passport to Enterprise and Employment

About

This course is designed to support learners to identify, analyse, evaluate and develop their own enterprising character and skills that can be transferred into self-employment and or into the workplace as an employee. 
Learners will identify potential customers and learn the value of meeting and exceeding customer needs. The course will cover a basic introduction to marketing in order to promote their business (or self) building confidence in using social media and how to manage and resolve workplace problems. 
Participants will be able to complete an action plan to enable them to progress to the next steps following the course. 
Participants will be able to progress to a Level 2 course to increase their skills and abilities. 
Mentoring support is provided to give further advice and guidance to enable participants to maximise opportunities to succeed in employment or self employment
 

Learning outcomes include:

  • Identify and develop enterprising character/skills that can be transferred into the workplace
  • Identify and evaluate how to manage and solve work based problems
  • Set SMART goals to manage time and focus on developing skills post course
  • Identify potential customers and understand how to meet customer needs
  • Understand basic marketing strategies
  • Learn to work creatively,including adopting lateral thinking to solve problems and manage risk

FAQs

Who is it for? This course is for adults  who do not already hold a grade C GCSE or Level 2 in Digital Functional Skills  and would like to progress to or achieve a Level 2 qualification.

What will you do?  You will learn a range of skills to enhance your ICT skills and abilities with a range of applications.

How will the course be delivered and assessed?  You will be taught and assessed by our specialist teaching team throughout the duration of your studies. There is a formal exam at the end of this course, however the tutor will monitor your progress through classroom activities as well as directed learning to enable you to achieve the qualification. 

What is a Level 2?  In achieving Level 2, you will gain the equivalent to a C or higher grade at GCSE, meaning that you can demonstrate your ability to understand and use everyday ICT at this level.

Future career or opportunities to study?  Students who complete this course will be ready to progress to other courses provided by CCBED or other training providers or further employment opportunities.
